What is Aleppo Soap?

06/10/23

Aleppo soap is a natural soap that's made from olive oil, laurel berry oil, water, and lye. It's named after the city of Aleppo, where it's been made for centuries.

The history of Aleppo Soap goes back to the beginning of the Middle Ages where the first soap manufacturing workshops emerged in Aleppo.

Because of the abundance of laurel berry oil and olive oil the industry grew to become an important and valuable commodity and it was exported across the Middle East. The olive harvest and pressing season begins each year in November and continues until March/April with the whole process taking nine months including the critical drying process.

One of the main benefits of Aleppo soap is that it's made with natural ingredients. It doesn't contain any harsh chemicals or synthetic fragrances, which makes it a great choice for people with sensitive skin. The olive oil in the soap is also rich in antioxidants, which can help protect the skin from damage.

Another benefit of Aleppo soap is that it's gentle on the skin. The laurel berry oil in the soap has antibacterial properties, which can soothe skin conditions. The soap is also moisturising, thanks to the olive oil, which can help keep the skin soft.

To use Aleppo soap, simply wet the soap and lather it up in your hands or on a washcloth. Apply the lather to your skin and rinse off with warm water. Aleppo soap can be used on your face, body, and even your hair.

Get back to simple and try Aleppo Soap - your skin will thank you.
